The fabric under test is installed in the sample fixture above and rubbed against the abrasive mounted on the grinding table.
The friction trajectory is Li Sharu figure.
After the friction number is set, the pilling evaluation or the breaking times of the sample are recorded.
The instrument features
The unique design allows for experimental setup and inspection without lifting the top guide.
This instrument can count the number of friction times of each sample and the total number of preset experimental friction times.
This instrument has a connecting function, allowing the user to do different experiments at the same time.
The instrument is equipped with a full set of sample fixtures, which can be loaded quickly to ensure the correct pressure is applied to the test fabric.

Note 1: Check the rotation speed of the instrument with a stopwatch and record The Times of friction within 5min.
Counters should also be checked to make sure they function properly.
Note 2 Use the dial indicator to check parallelism.
Note 3: Use feeler to check the clearance between the test fixture and the grinding table.
calibration
After a period of use, check the instrument with pure black printed fabric to make sure it is properly set.
Normal operation 7000 times, check the color change of the sample.
If it is not uniform, the instrument setting is not correct and the Settings listed above should be checked. It is recommended to check periodically according to the conditions of use.
If abrasion and mass abrasion tests are performed in the laboratory, use two reference cloth intervals until the end point.
If the grinding is uneven, it is recommended to check the parallelism of the grinding table.
Instrument installation
It can be seen from 3.4 that the installation of the instrument is also different according to different motion trajectory (big and small Li Sharu figure or straight line motion) and the purpose of the test.
The diagram shows the complete machine structure of the instrument:
The top part is the guide plate. The friction head is fixed on the guide plate through the pin shaft. The movement of the guide plate drives the movement of the friction head.
There are three moving tracks on the guide plate, which are connected with the drive shaft during the test.
Below the guide plate are the drive crank and the drive shaft.
The crankshaft is driven in a circular motion, which drives the shaft and thus the guide plate.
The different positions of the shaft will affect the trajectory of the motion.
There are 9 friction benches on the test bench, which can meet the requirement of testing nine samples at the same time
The control base consists of a control panel (the instrument is operated by touch screen without keys) and a clamping ring.
The clamping ring plays an auxiliary role in clamping the sample.
Drive shaft position
Changing the motion type involves changing one or more changing positions of the drive crankshaft block.
First make sure the instrument is still.
Remove the test fixture (if installed) and guide.
Move the shaft block to a suitable new position.
For wear test: three drive shaft blocks must be in position A.
For pilling test: three drive shaft blocks must be in Position B.
For A straight line test: the middle drive shaft block is at position B, and the edge two drive shaft blocks are at position A.
Place the guide plate carefully on the instrument in the correct position.
Clamping of samples and related test accessories
During the wear resistance test, the standard felt is put on the grinding table first, then the standard friction fabric is put on the grinding table, and finally the clamping ring is used.
Start the ball test. The first layer of the grinding table is covered with standard felt, and the second layer is covered with sample.
A standard foam shall be placed in the fixture for the abrasion test, and the sample shall be used for the abrasion test at the bottom.
Note: Felt may be used 100,000 times or until hardened.
The standard abrasive cloth shall be replaced after each test.
The polyurethane foam pad shall be replaced during each test.
When all the grinding tables and test fixture are installed, place the test fixture on the grinding table.
Place the pin shaft through the bearing on the test fixture.
According to the running times set in 4 parts, power on and start the experiment.
Sample preparation - Pilling
(Note: Adjust the instrument setting, if it has not been done before)
After marking the abrasive and sample dampening, cut the required number of samples with a diameter of 140mm, two sets of sample cutters, one for the ball table, the other for the sample fixture.
Put the pilling auxiliary sample mounting device on the work table and the small size under it.
The wear-resistant sample clamping ring is arranged outside the auxiliary sample loading device.
Place the aluminum alloy fixture with diameter of 140mml on the top of the auxiliary sample loading device.
It's the extra part of the edge hanging out.
Place the 90mm diameter loading block on top of the auxiliary loading device.
The sample fixture is placed on the felt.
Carefully roll the rubber ring up to the hollow of the aluminum alloy jig tray.
Remove the sample fixture.
The insert pin shaft is the same as the worn pin shaft.
Put the assembled samples on the grinding table, see Table 1, and carry out the experiment according to the standard.
See 5.1 for details of the experiment
Repeat the above steps to sample each grinding table and fixture.
Make sure all stations read zero, then start the experiment with a preset number of times.
Depending on the label, the end point of the experiment is different.
Experimental procedure - Wear out
Abrasion of test specimen
1. Usually four samples are tested. One sample is placed on a grinding table.
2. Check the wear condition of the sample at regular intervals, and do not remove the sample from the fixture.
3. Use a magnifying glass or microscope if necessary.
4. The end point of the experiment can be judged when two yarns of the sample break.
5. Carry out the experiment until all the samples reach the end point.
6. Records are the results and average values of each sample.
7. Paste the worn samples on the report form.
8. Note that once the sample is damaged, it is not necessary to replace the fixture to continue the test.
Measurement of mass loss
See Table 4 for sample quality loss measurement.
The sample is weighed before and after each preset interval.
Sketch quality loss.

3 Medium pilling
2 severe pilling
1 Very severe pilling
Evaluate each sample according to the above criteria, allowing the evaluation result to be between two grades, such as: 3-4

Access to Li Sha Ru diagram
Obtain the Li Sha Ru diagram from each station in the following way.
Take the material off the grinding table.
Place a flat piece of white paper (100±5)mm in diameter and 100g. M2 in mass on each grinding table to ensure that the surface of the paper is flat enough.
Insert the bearing sleeve with a custom-made ballpoint pen of the same diameter, perpendicular to the surface of the paper, with the tip just touching the surface.
4. Press the start key, and the guide plate will drive the ball point pen to draw li Sha Ru diagram on the paper.
I'm going to draw on paper the Lisaru pattern that I just touched on the outermost curve and the two opposing sides are parallel lines.
The two lines drawn are at right angles to the other two lines.
