2. Working principle and scope of application. The instrument cuts and penetrates the lattice graphics made by the coating with certain specifications.
3. Technical instructions
1. The spacing between multi-blade cutting knives is: 1+0.01mm, 2+0.01mm, respectively.

V. Operation and usage
1. Test pieces must be prepared in accordance with the requirements of ISO1514 and ISO2828.
2. Place the specimen on a plate with sufficient hardness.
3. Hold the handle of the grid cutter to make the multi-blade cutting knife perpendicular to the test piece plane.
4. Cut with uniform pressure, stable and non-vibrating technique and 20-50mm/S cutting speed.
5. Rotate the test piece 90 degrees and repeat the above operation on the cut cut to form lattice pattern.
6. Brush the diagonals of both sides of the grid pattern gently backwards 5 times and forwards 5 times with a soft bristle brush.
7. The test shall be completed at least at three different positions of the test piece. If the test results at three different positions are different, the test shall be repeated at more than three positions and all the results shall be recorded at the same time.
8. If a multi-blade cutting knife needs to be replaced, loosen the two screws on the knife body with a screwdriver, replace the knife used, stick the blade edge to the side of the handle, and tighten the screws.

6. Matters needing Attention
A. All incisions shall be hollow through layers, but the incisions shall not cut too deep into the substrate.
B. If the coating is too thick and hard to penetrate to the material, the test shall be invalid, but shall be stated in the test report.
C. In case of special misunderstanding or special requirements, the tape method shall be used for determination.
The adhesive tape is generally a 25MM wide transparent adhesive tape with polyester thin wax or acetate fiber backing.
Stick the tape on the whole grid, and then tear off with zUI small Angle, the result can be obtained by the ratio of the surface of the paint film and the shedding area.
D. The test results should be evaluated at 23±2℃ and 50±5% relative temperature.
Note: Magnifying glass is available for visual inspection.
